Exodus169 – A Multi-Platform Sci-Fi Adventure!

The crew of the Exodus have left Earth and the comforts of home behind to embark on an epic 169 year journey to colonise the planet Lumina. Exodus169 is an interactive science fiction story that allows users not only to follow the adventures of the crew but also to become a part of the narrative.

Premiering on the iPhone, but slated for release across multiple platforms, Exodus169  is a unique and ambitious project that combines leading edge technology with classic storytelling. Created by a group of independent producers, writers and artists, Exodus169 is the product of a desire to find new ways of creating a digital entertainment experience and bringing creators closer to their audience.

All that aside though, frankly, it just looks like a damn good time. There’s nothing like science fiction but Exodus169 aims to take the experience to a whole new level. The story is told in the format of a graphic novel but with a full soundscape recorded using professional actors. Currently users have the chance to ‘reserve a pod’ on Exodus and become one of the 100,000 pioneers. Places are limited though and it’s completely free! (I’ve already got mine, see you on Lumina!) Those who register their pod are in with the chance to have their character written into the graphic novel. My character’s called Niko. Look out for her in the graphic novel because she’s gonna kick ass (I don’t actually have any guarantee that she’ll be picked but dreams are free).

Liberation Frequency caught up with the guys from Exodus169 at the London Film and Comic Con last weekend. Check out the interview in the Liberation Frequency Video Podcast. Also, make sure you enter our upcoming competition because we’ve got stacks of giveaways including an Exodus169 t-shirt.
