Marvel Lays Off Staff

While DC may be experiencing record sales as a result of their re-launch Marvel bosses have apparently decided it’s time to tighten the proverbial belt.

Those in the direct line of fire come mostly from among the editorial staff as 11 employees have been let go. Rumour suggests that these unfortunate souls may not be the last to receive unfortunate news either. Those let go include editors Alejandro Arbona and Jody LeHeup.

The decision to let staff go is apparently part if cost cutting efforts at the famous comic book publisher. Parent company, Marvel Entertainment LCC, is a part of the much larger Walt Disney Co.
